1. Caden and I left Durango. We left with the intention of visiting every hot dog stand we saw along our route. We only made it to one place our entire trip and it was in Durango, just before we left.

2. I was excited to get to drive through Moab. It may be my favorite place to be. We drove through during a thunderstorm. We could see lightning off in the distance over the canyons off on the horizon.

3. We slept on the side of the road in the middle of Nevada. It was a great night of sleep with an awesome night sky. If Abbey really wanted solitude, he could have come here.
